35 So they made their father drunk[a] that night as well, and the younger one came and went to bed with him.[b] But he was not aware of when she lay down with him or when she got up.

36 In this way both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter[c] gave birth to a son and named him Moab.[d] He is the ancestor of the Moabites of today.
